• Led declarative TypeScript pipeline APIs from RFC through production, establishing a consistent approach across two JavaScript runtimes; adopted by approximately 20 teams, including teams building complex trading UIs.
• Co-designed and shipped the supported React integration with Bloomberg’s React community, replacing bespoke bridges between application state and pipelines with declarative integration that manages derived views across re-renders.
• Identified missing code intelligence in a Terminal-based pipeline playground, secured prioritisation and delivered Monaco autocomplete and compiler diagnostics end-to-end; infrastructure teams continue adding library types through configuration.
• Enabled an existing C++ formula compiler to be distributed as a cross-platform npm package, removing OS-specific native dependencies; extended dependency wiring, build and CI infrastructure for WebAssembly to unblock build-time expression validation.
• Resolved crashes and improved performance in the pipeline inspection tool on million-row datasets, making large pipelines easier to investigate; migrated its UI to React.
• Co-led an agent-based test-migration pilot producing 100+ PRs across dozens of repositories, with nearly half merged; integrated scripts, prompts and tools into the agent sandbox.
• Managed team prioritisation, planning and delivery during the manager’s six-month absence. Mentored team engineers, including onboarding a new joiner through initial projects toward type-checker ownership; delivered internal talks and training.

• Built a C++ market-data publishing service for Australian exchange order data, including its event loop, Kafka consumer, entitlements and tests.
• Redesigned cross-application trading blotter linkage and led a TypeScript strict-mode rollout with a CI gate for a large trading UI codebase.

Progressed from Senior to Staff to Principal Software Engineer. Partnerships engineering delivered products and integrations for revenue-generating commercial partnerships.

• Led technical direction and delivery for a seven-person cross-functional Partnerships team, owning planning, estimation and stakeholder coordination; directly managed one software engineer.
• Translated commercial requirements from nontechnical stakeholders into technical designs and delivery plans, coordinating implementation across BuzzFeed teams.
• Owned the website extension of Tasty’s “Add Recipe to Bag” experience, enabling users to add recipe ingredients to a Walmart grocery basket and extending the existing mobile-app partnership; integrated recipe data and client-side instrumentation.
• Partnered with the Data team to replace fragmented event collection with a shared specification and layered framework used across BuzzFeed, letting data engineers define events by page hierarchy and product engineers implement them consistently.

• Designed and delivered a shared rendering-application template used across 6-7 applications, including feeds, article pages and search, as part of the team effort to decompose BuzzFeed’s monolithic web application into services.
• Built reusable frontend tooling and customisable application templates that helped teams deliver web experiences in weeks rather than months, including a BringMe/Hilton website prototype in one week.
